We all have those few relationships that last only a season, but some that last a lifetime. Our relationship with food lasts a lifetime. Don’t you agree? How often do you introspect and critically examine your relationship with food? Or our Mother Nature, for that matter? Or our communities? Or our Heritage?

A wise person once said, “You reap what you sow”. I say, “What you put in your body determines what you can get out of it”. If you put wholesome food in your belly, you will surely get energy to do your tasks, meet your goals, and live happily.

With each morsel of food you intake, you make a choice (consciously or unconsciously) to move towards or away from your wellness goals.

As a champion of natural, sustainable, eco-friendly, non-GMO products, I feel obligated to introduce my readers to the Baobab: The Tree of Life.

Us Versus Baobab

Our priority is self. That is how we, as a human race, survived and triumphed in the face of adversity. And Baobab’s priority is us, the human race. We care about ourselves, but Baobab cares about us.

We evaluate all our relationships by their utility. But is it enough?

If we care as much as the ancient Baobab does, we will be able to make a lasting impact on the world for fellow human beings and uplift them.

I hope to be counted among the handful of people who cared deeply and left a legacy. It is with this intention that I started MAKOMAS – a company that brings African wellness to the world. We help underprivileged rural women African farmers become self-sufficient, gain economic independence, contribute to sustainable development, and preserve biodiversity.

Baobab is my wellness champion. And I aspire to be a champion for all rural African women farmers someday. What are your aspirations?

Cheers,

Magbè
