Our 100% natural raw Hulled Sesame Seeds are harvested from only the finest organically grown plants. Since the outer peel has been removed, hulled sesame seeds are comparatively soft and easy to digest. Moreover, the seeds are vegan and haven’t been processed with the use of gluten, making them a welcome addition for those with gluten sensitivities. Because hulled sesame seeds are filled with antioxidants and unsaturated fats with no artificial colorings or preservatives, they are a wonderful natural plant-based food. The raw hulled sesame seeds are high in protein as well as essential fatty acids and fiber making them an effective nutritional supplement.
The seeds add a nutty, buttery flavor as well as a pleasant crunchy texture to your food. Use them as a common topping to your hamburger bun or other breads. Sprinkle them on salads, warm vegetables, meat or stir them into soups, stir-fries, and stews. Keep in mind, the seeds can also be pressed for sesame oil. Besides using sesame seeds as a condiment, it works great for making homemade tahini, a kind of paste similar in texture to peanut butter.

Our Responsibility to the Environment
MAKOMAS believes our responsibility to produce an exceptional product doesn’t just end there. In order to leave a light footprint on the environment and to bring you the freshest, best quality product possible, we avoid impersonal, industrial type operations. Our emphasis on small-scale sustainable organic farming practices helps the environment by promoting soil regeneration as well as protecting biodiversity.
Our Commitment to the Highest Ethical Standards
MAKOMAS  products are sourced from small farms in West Africa where rigorous standards insure that only the highest quality organic ingredients go into the making of our products. But, we haven’t forgotten the women farmers who toil in the fields to produce our raw materials. To that end we have created the MAKOMAS Foundation, a charitable arm of our company. With every purchase you make, you also give back to the women farmers who are so deserving of our support.
