Lemon is one of the world’s most recognizable aromas. Nothing is more delightful than the sweet, fresh lemony fragrance of lemon verbena leaves. Our Lemon Verbena is harvested by hand to ensure maximum quality. Our product is 100% natural. There are no additives, artificial flavors or chemicals used at any stage of growing or cultivating.
Because lemon verbena is caffeine-free, you can enjoy a cup of tea any time of the day. Verbena is a favorite for after-dinner infusions or tisanes because it is great for the digestive system. Because of its calming, stress-reducing effects, it is the perfect before-bedtime drink.
Lore has it that our ancestors relied on the soothing qualities of this verbena plant to treat occasional stomach discomfort.
There are so many uses for our Lemon Verbena besides tea. The lemon flavor of the leaves add a delightful flavor to fish and poultry dishes, vegetable marinades, salad dressings, jams, puddings, sauces and yogurt. Aside from adding to foods, display our Lemon Verbena leaves in your flower arrangements. Use it in your potpourri.
Because these leaves have a very strong taste and texture, a flavorful tea can be made from just a few of the leaves. Use 4-5 Leaves per 8oz of water. Leave to infuse covered for 10-15 minutes, then strain. Or, add our Lemon Verbena leaves to a liter of boiling water for three to five minutes. Reduce heat, strain, and serve hot or cold. You can also add to this infusion some mint leaves or honey. If you only have used commercial lemon teabags in the past, you will be amazed at the difference in quality when you use our loose Lemon Verbena leaves to make your tea.
