One of the ways MAKOMAS is unique is that we have created a non-profit initiative called the MAKOMAS Foundation. We in the United States can enjoy a wide selection of food and drink. Our company, in sourcing of our ingredients from Africa, connects small, rural farms with global markets. As a result, the income generated by these connections have the ability to transform poor villages into places where people can improve themselves and have hope for a better future.
The MAKOMAS FOUNDATION, our non-profit initiative, focuses on improving the conditions for women. Our educational initiative plus our fair-trade principles, reach, not only our women farmers, but those in the wider community.
